"Dolls for Dementia, Inc." is a nonprofit organization founded by Emily Richey, a 9th grader at Paris High School. The mission of "Dolls for Dementia, Inc." is to provide dolls and stuffed animals for patients who are suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's. Our mission is also to increase awareness of the need for doll therapy with these patients. This organization is working to bring back the "Spark of Life" to people who are losing their memories, losing their purpose, and are depending completely on caregivers. By placing dolls in their arms, we are giving them back the happiness they once had when they were taking care of their own children. Because we are involving students in our doll deliveries, we are closing the gap between the younger generation and the elderly generation. Our goal is to provide dolls for these patients and to increase the awareness of this need.
